Content Writer - website copy (remote)

Summit Cross Civic Services Group supports public agencies in Boston with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need a Content Writer to lead our website copy. You would join a small organisation of about 128 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about constituent requests. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with constituent requests. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
