Content Writer - website copy (remote)

Foxglove Forge Civic Services supports public agencies in Chicago with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need a Content Writer to lead our website copy. You would join a small organisation of about 132 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about permits. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
