Content Writer - website copy (remote)

Fernwood Bright Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Madison, and we need a Content Writer to lead our website copy. You would join a small organisation of about 45 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about waiting lists. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with waiting lists. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
