Content Writer - website copy (remote)

Bright Mill Civic Services is looking for a Content Writer. The job centres on website copy for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about permits. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
