Content Writer - website copy (Portland, OR)

Bright Linden Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Portland. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on website copy. You would join a small organisation of about 14 people based in Portland. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about public records. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with public records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
