Content Writer - plain-language guides (Spokane, WA)

Harborlight Ember Press prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Spokane plant, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about print quotes. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with print quotes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
