Content Writer - plain-language guides (San Jose, CA)

Rivermark Forge Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around San Jose, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about case files. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with case files. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
