Content Writer - plain-language guides (San Diego, CA)

Northwind Meridian Energy is an energy provider in San Diego focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about hardship programmes. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with hardship programmes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
