Content Writer - plain-language guides (Richmond, VA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Stone Transit Planning Partners and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about survey data. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
