Content Writer - plain-language guides (Richmond, VA)

We are growing our team at Bright Loom Community Partners and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about client intake. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with client intake. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
