Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Fernwood Iron Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in San Antonio. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on plain-language guides. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about claims. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
