Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Harborlight Glen Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Reno, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would join a large organisation of about 226 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about service alerts. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Reno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
