Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Bright Logistics is a Pittsburgh charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on plain-language guides. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about volunteer shifts. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
