Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Ironwood Beacon Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Wichita and nearby communities, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would join a small organisation of about 98 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about treatment plant data. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
