Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen North Water Authority and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about meter reading. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
