Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Bluepeak Lakeside Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Oakland. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on plain-language guides. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about fare systems. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
