Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Ironwood Granite Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in San Diego, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about catastrophe response. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
