Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Foxglove Lakeside Civic Services works with county and city offices around San Jose. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on plain-language guides. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about permits. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
