Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Summit West Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Austin, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about accessibility audits. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
