Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Westbrook Cross Civic Services works with county and city offices around Savannah, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. Benefits and stability attract long tenure. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about constituent requests. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with constituent requests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
