Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Northwind Birch Arts Center Group is an arts centre in Oakland with a full calendar of events. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on plain-language guides. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about visitor services. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with visitor services. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
