Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Harborlight Orchard Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Buffalo area, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would join a large organisation of about 667 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about customer tickets. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
