Content Writer - plain-language guides (remote)

Summit Maple Community Partners is a Wichita charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on plain-language guides. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about donor records. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with donor records. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
