Content Writer - plain-language guides (Raleigh, NC)

Westbrook Oak Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Raleigh presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on plain-language guides. You would join a large organisation of about 414 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about volunteer programmes. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer programmes. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
