Content Writer - plain-language guides (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Ivory Civic Services and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about constituent requests. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with constituent requests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
