Content Writer - plain-language guides (Milwaukee, WI)

We are growing our team at Bright Orchard Transit Planning and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. You would join a large organisation of about 485 people based in Milwaukee. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about ridership counts. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Milwaukee. • We reply to every applicant.
