Content Writer - plain-language guides (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Fern Transit Planning Group and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. You would join a large organisation of about 948 people based in Madison. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about service alerts. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
