Content Writer - plain-language guides (Madison, WI)

Amberfield Junction Community Partners is a Madison charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about client intake. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with client intake. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
