Content Writer - plain-language guides (Knoxville, TN)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Sparrow Arts Center and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about volunteer programmes. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer programmes. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
