Content Writer - plain-language guides (Knoxville, TN)

Northwind Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Knoxville presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on plain-language guides. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about school partnerships. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Experience with school partnerships. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
