Content Writer - plain-language guides (Houston, TX)

Westbrook Keystone Arts Center Group is an arts centre in Houston with a full calendar of events, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about school partnerships. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with school partnerships. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
