Content Writer - plain-language guides (Fresno, CA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Harbor Transit Planning and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. You would join a small organisation of about 106 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about fare systems. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
