Content Writer - plain-language guides (Des Moines, IA)

Cedar Drift Energy is an energy provider in Des Moines focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about usage data. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
