Content Writer - plain-language guides (Des Moines, IA)

Clearpath North Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Des Moines, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about underwriting files. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
