Content Writer - plain-language guides (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Cross Legal Group and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. You would join a small organisation of about 172 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about court deadlines. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with court deadlines. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
