Content Writer - plain-language guides (Charleston, SC)

Foxglove River Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Charleston area, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about billing accounts. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
