Content Writer - plain-language guides (Buffalo, NY)

Silverline Beacon Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Buffalo and nearby communities, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about billing accounts. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
