Content Writer - plain-language guides (Buffalo, NY)

We are growing our team at Cedar Field Water Authority and adding a Content Writer whose main responsibility will be plain-language guides. You would join a small organisation of about 103 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about treatment plant data. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
