Content Writer - plain-language guides (Birmingham, AL)

Greenridge Vale Community Partners is a nonprofit in Birmingham supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about client intake. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Experience with client intake. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
