Content Writer - plain-language guides (Baltimore, MD)

Fernwood Lantern Community Partners is a nonprofit in Baltimore supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about volunteer shifts. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
