Content Writer - plain-language guides (Austin, TX)

Stonegate Cedar Civic Services works with county and city offices around Austin, and we need a Content Writer to lead our plain-language guides. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about public records. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with public records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
