Harborlight Meridian Arts Center is a cultural organisation in San Jose presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on newsletters. You would join a small organisation of about 89 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about volunteer programmes. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with volunteer programmes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
