Content Writer - newsletters (San Diego, CA)

Silverline Drift Civic Services works with county and city offices around San Diego, and we need a Content Writer to lead our newsletters. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about constituent requests. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with constituent requests. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
