Content Writer - newsletters (Portland, OR)

Northwind Maple Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in Portland. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on newsletters. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Portland. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about rent assistance. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with rent assistance. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
