Content Writer - newsletters (Portland, OR)

Lumen Civic Services supports public agencies in Portland with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need a Content Writer to lead our newsletters. You would join a small organisation of about 29 people based in Portland. What you will do • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about permits. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Experience with permits. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
