Content Writer - newsletters (Portland, OR)

Lumen Birch Arts Center is an arts centre in Portland with a full calendar of events. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on newsletters. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about volunteer programmes. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer programmes. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
