Content Writer - newsletters (Oakland, CA)

Westbrook Fox Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Oakland area, and we need a Content Writer to lead our newsletters. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about billing accounts. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
