Content Writer - newsletters (Indianapolis, IN)

Harborlight Meadow Community Partners is a nonprofit in Indianapolis supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on newsletters. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about client intake. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with client intake. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
