Content Writer - newsletters (Buffalo, NY)

Bright Oak Arts Center is an arts centre in Buffalo with a full calendar of events, and we need a Content Writer to lead our newsletters. You would join a large organisation of about 784 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about event logistics. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with event logistics. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
