Content Writer - help-centre articles (San Jose, CA)

Rivermark Oak Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around San Jose, and we need a Content Writer to lead our help-centre articles. You would join a small organisation of about 149 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about permits. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
